Eating Choc Chip Cookies!!! :o)

Yes I have been VERY lazy this week. I will wrap my week up for you!!! :o)

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

I did very minimal shopping this week... only purchased a 16lb of cat food from Petsmart for $6.65... refer to this post HERE to get the deal.

Grabbed some Diet Dr. Pepper from Kroger and some Pillsbury cookies. I spent $7.92 there. I went to another Kroger in town to grab some more Diet Dr. P but they were out so I grabbed a raincheck. Always... Always get a raincheck if something you really want is out of stock. Rainchecks at Kroger expire 30 days from the day issued.

I've worked my booty off this week. Had tons of clients needing Manicures & Pedicures this week.

Went to my hubby's family for Thanksgiving... ate A LOT of food!!! :o) Will be having another Thanksgiving at my cousin's house tomorrow.

Did some Black Friday shopping ONLINE last night. I wasn't even about to get out in the cold rain!!! I grabbed a digital photo frame for my hubby from Sears.com, and this morning ordered my hubby 2 computer monitors. Yes... he has to have 2... they are side by side... he's a huge techy!!! lol Also ordered some Lego Duplo's from Walmart for $15 each. I'm officially done with my son's stuff... I bought him WAYYYY too much stuff!!!

Worked all day today... got home... attempted to put our BRAND NEW Christmas tree up... Yeah the top lights didn't work. So I have to return that to Bed Bath & Beyond tomorrow. I'm going to go to Walmart and get a replacement tree.

So that brings us to this moment!!! I think I will look at some Walgreens scenarios for tomorrow!!! I'm not sure anything will be left but I'm always last minute about most of the things I do!!! lol

Halloween Treat Bags for toddlers & Daycare Teachers

My son is having a fall party tomorrow at his daycare so I decided to make some treat bags for his friends and all of the teachers. I decided to just run to walmart and grab all my supplies. I stopped by CVS first but they didn't have much halloween stuff left.

For his teachers I grabbed 4 bags of candy. I got the teachers Hershey's, Starburst, Lifesaver gummy's, and Reeses. Had to have a balance of chocolate and fruity candy!! :o) I also added in a Chex mix Golden Graham bar. I bought like 10 boxes of those a few mega events ago.

For the children I decided to go with a juice box, fruit snack, and lil can of playdough. I wanted to give them a healthier option!!! :o)

I also wanted to add a little personal touch by tying the bags with orange & black metallic ribbon. I printed off these adorable gift tag labels and wrote the teachers name along with Keaton's name. For the toddler bags I just wrote "Happy Halloween". You can print the tags off here.

Supplies Purchased:
(2) Gift Bags $3.00 ($.10 per bag)
Curling Ribbon $3.00
Candy $7.00 (9 bags worth $.78 each)
Playdough $4 (20 cans total $.20 each)

Supplies on Hand:
Gift Tags (free)
Juice Boxes (from stockpile $.13 per juice box )
Fruit Snacks (from stockpile maybe $.05 per pack)
Golden Graham Bars (from stockpile $.08 per bar)

Cost of Teacher Bags:
$.96 each x 9= $8.64

Cost of Toddler Bags:
$.48 each x 10 = $4.80

Re-selling Toys, clothes, and more!!!

Every Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter my area has a sale called Kidsignment, and Clothes of Many Closets. These are consignment type sales where you tag all of your stuff yourself and set your own prices. You then take your items to the sale that typically lasts for 2 weeks. At the end of the 2 week sale you go back and pick up your stuff. They keep 30% of the sales and you get 70%!!! This is one of the easiest ways to re-sell kid items.

The photo above is just a few of my sons toys that I took to the sale. Some of them even sold before I made it there. I also posted all of the items I had for sale on my facebook page, and on craigslist. Just alone by advertising items on my facebook I made $87. Other item's I took to the sale include: all of my fall/winter clothes, my son's clothes, highchairs, baby gates, and more.

I will update everyone when I pick my items up to see how much I made. It's a great way for me to re-sell items and take the money and purchase new things for my son!!! :o) I also like to go to the sales myself and look at toys to buy.

Do you have any of these types of sales in your area, or do you have any advice on how you re-sell stuff? I would love to hear in the comments!!!

I think that it is time to come back!!!

After pretty much taking a break from couponing for the summer and adjusting to working full time, I feel that it is time I come back to my blog.

I started my blog to help myself with spending and showing others how to shop smart. Without my blog and readers I have been spending wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much money on groceries. We have almost doubled our income now that I have started working. I'm no longer as frugal as I used to be, and I'm working on getting back to that.

So in the next few days I will be getting back into blogging. Hopefully doing a few matchup's for Walgreens, CVS, and Kroger. I will also show everyone my coupon binder and post photos of my stockpile. I look forward to coming back!! I have missed you guys!!! :o)

Where have I been???

So.... I hate that I haven't blogged in FOREVER. I haven't been doing much couponing here lately. I haven't even bought a paper in probably 3 weeks. BUT I am trying to slowly get back into couponing. I am now working 5 days a week- just shy of 40 hours a week. I have been staying super busy with anywhere from 5-7 clients a day. So this has been a huge adjustment for me. My daily routine is: get up, get ready, take Keaton to daycare, work from 9-5, pick Keaton up, figure out something for my family to eat, spend a few hours with Keaton & the hubby, put Keaton to bed, do some cleaning, go to bed. I usually hop into bed around midnight. I've been running to walmart when I get free time and spending WAY more than I want to. So after balancing the checkbook and seeing how much money I'm wasting i'm trying to get back into my old routine. So please bear with me while I get back on track. I will be doing a giveaway for a $25 gift card to Kroger soon!!! So stay tuned!!! :o) Hopefully once I figure out better time management I can get back to blogging!!!

Um... so yeah... I don't really feel like I got a lot. But oh well... I work 5 days a week now... so by the time I get off work I really don't care... Not very frugal of me!!! :P BUT... It's not like I bought random junk. Everything I bought was with a meal in mind. So let's see what I can do with this!!!

Pork Roast $5.55
Potatoes $2.89
McCormick Slow Cookers Seasoning $1.79

Ok... This is all for one meal. I will also add baby carrots which I had on hand. This will feed my family Dinner, and leftovers for the next day or two. So that's $8.33 (I didn't include the entire price of that potatoes). So that's not really that bad when you break it down like that.

Garlic Bread $1.88
Ragu Alfredo $2.45 (YIKES) you can get this for like $1.39 at Kroger. But I wasn't at Kroger sooo... I paid that amount. lol :o)

That will be for a meal. I already have PLENTY of pasta on hand. Also the garlic bread will be split between a few different meals.

Tater Tot's $2.68

These will be for hamburgers and things like that.

Bread $0.98

So all in all I spent $18.40 on all of this. Now that I have broken everything down I feel like I did good for my money except the ragu!!! lol They are $1.39 at Kroger this week and there are $1.25/3 coupons in on of the inserts. So I plan to stock up on some alfredo!! :o)
