Hi everyone!!! My name is Mandy and I LOVE using coupons on saving money!!! I'm 24 years old and I live in Southern, IL where I have spent my whole life. I have been married to my soul mate Dustin for 3 and a half years!!! We have a 2 year old toddler named Keaton Brodie. We are a family of 3 and an inside cat named Sadie. I also have 2 outside "stray/adopted" cats named OC short for Orange Cat and LC short for Little Cat. Yeah those names just sort of stuck :o)!!! All of my pets have adopted me...!
I work full time (tues-sat) and take care of my family the rest of my time. I'm a nail technician at a Medical Spa doing manicures & pedicures. I just graduated from school in May 2010 and passed my KY state boards in June 2010. Before I started to work full time I was a full time student/stay at home mom. That is when I really started couponing.
Why did I start couponing??
When I decided to go back to college for my Nail Tech Cert I quit my job and we went down to one income. I knew I had to do something to help us survive. My shopping habits consisted of me going to Walmart and spending $150-$200 each WEEK!!! I knew there had to be a way to get my groceries and household items cheaper. I started doing some research about coupons and found several money saving blogs. I must say, couponing has completely changed my life!! I now set our weekly budget to $75 a week or $300 a month.
I started this blog to show others how I save money. I like to post my shopping trips and what coupons I use. I'm a very visual person and enjoy seeing others shopping trips. So I figured that it would be something others would like as well!!!
