Um... so yeah... I don't really feel like I got a lot. But oh well... I work 5 days a week now... so by the time I get off work I really don't care... Not very frugal of me!!! :P BUT... It's not like I bought random junk. Everything I bought was with a meal in mind. So let's see what I can do with this!!!

Pork Roast $5.55
Potatoes $2.89
McCormick Slow Cookers Seasoning $1.79

Ok... This is all for one meal. I will also add baby carrots which I had on hand. This will feed my family Dinner, and leftovers for the next day or two. So that's $8.33 (I didn't include the entire price of that potatoes). So that's not really that bad when you break it down like that.

Garlic Bread $1.88
Ragu Alfredo $2.45 (YIKES) you can get this for like $1.39 at Kroger. But I wasn't at Kroger sooo... I paid that amount. lol :o)

That will be for a meal. I already have PLENTY of pasta on hand. Also the garlic bread will be split between a few different meals.

Tater Tot's $2.68

These will be for hamburgers and things like that.

Bread $0.98

So all in all I spent $18.40 on all of this. Now that I have broken everything down I feel like I did good for my money except the ragu!!! lol They are $1.39 at Kroger this week and there are $1.25/3 coupons in on of the inserts. So I plan to stock up on some alfredo!! :o)

Super Savings Saturday saved 85%

This has been a SUPER BUSY week for me. Monday I left for a 3.5 hour trip to Frankfort, KY. The next day I woke up after maybe 2 hours of sleep due to my cramming for my nail tech exam. After 4 hours of testing and another hour of waiting I received my license!! Wooohooo!!! Then we had to drive BACK home... I got home around 5:30 and went straight to bed!!! I slept til 10 and then woke up for a few hours. Wed & Thur I had to go to the spa for a few hours to get settled in. Today I thought I only had 2 appts... well when I got to work today I had 5 appts between 10am-2:30. That was 4 pedicures and 1 manicure... I was pretty tired after that. So needless to say.... tonight was a hamburger helper night. lol :o) But I didn't do much shopping this week. Don't be surprised if you see a huge shopping trip to *gasp* walmart!!! lol My fridge and pantry are looking pretty sad....!!!! So bear with me fellow bloggers and readers... I'm def adjusting to working after being a student and stay at home mom for almost a year. After all that is the reason I started couponing!!! :o) I thoroughly enjoy sharing my shopping trips and seeing what others do!!! Alright... so let's get to the point of this post ;)!!!!!!!!!!!

So how did my AMAZING couponing family do??? Please post below!!!!

6/2 Wags Spent $0.47 saved $6.60

The hubby has the flu so we needed some OJ. Instead of running to the grocery store I ran by Wags... I made $32 in RR doing the ecotrin deal. And since the RR are in increments of $2... I would like to spend them!!! I will be using several of them to get newspapers on Sunday.

But here is why it pays to do the drugstore game!!! I paid $0.47 for all of this. I used (3) $2 rr. The OJ was $5.98 and in order to use another $2 RR I had to grab a filler item. I found the candy on clearance for $0.40. So since I purchased 3 items I could use (3) RR. At wags you must have the same number of items as you do coupons and/or RR.

I still have $26 in RR!!!!

6/2 CVS Spent $6.06 saved $32.84

(4) Off Clip on Refills $11.96
Medicine (for sick hubby) $3.99
Swiffer starter kit $11.99
Swiffer refill $5.49

Coupons Used:
(4) $3 off OFF clip on refills (CVS store coupons from cvs.com)= 4 for FREE
$3.00 off swiffer starter kit (mailer coupon)
Free refill wyb swiffer starter kit (mailer)
$8.39 gift card

Total Spent: $6.06
Total Saved: $32.84

Wednesday, June 2, 2010

6/1 Big John's Spent $12.60 saved $10.68

Spent $12.60
Saved $10.68

My local grocery store starts a new ad on Mondays and I saw in the ad that these were 10/$10. What I didn't realize is they started their ad on Tuesday this week.. So needless to say I would have saved another $3.60 if I would have looked at the ad dates. Oh well... lesson learned!!!

6/1 Wags Spent $0.34 saved $64.23 & made $32 in RR!!!

First and foremost... I didn't buy the store out. I spoke with a manager the week before and had her order me 16 boxes of Ecotrin.

I did 17 diff transactions. 16 of those I did in the same day. I do the bulk of my transactions on Mondays when my friend is working!!! So yes... I did do trans after trans!!! I went around 10am and checked out at the beauty counter. I didn't hold the lines up either.

So I paid $0.34 TOTAL for all of this. I saved $64.23 and walked away with $32 in RR!!!

I'm FINALLY a licensed Nail Technician!!!

I left for my state board test on Monday!!! Me & 3 other girls went to State Boards for our Nail Technician license!!! After much studying, nerves, and waiting... I passed my boards!!! I'm now a licensed Nail Technician and can start working!!! I've had a job at a local Spa since March, I've just had to wait until I was licensed to start. Can't wait to return the working world after being a Stay at home mom/student since August. Just wanted to share my good news!!! :o)
